Biography
Joel Crafton, known in the music industry as the world-famous Black Pinoy, is a versatile recording artist who performs in English, Tagalog, Ilocano, and Spanish. He is also a proud member and publisher with the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP).
Recognized for his remarkable talent since the age of six, Joel has built a successful career as an artist, producer, writer, arranger, singer, and piano player. In 2024, he launched his own radio station, **digacraftradio.com**, which showcases independent artists alongside Grammy-winning hits from the 1980s and 1990s.
In addition to his musical pursuits, Joel Crafton has an impressive acting background, having trained under the same coach as Denzel Washington, the renowned Tina Satin. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with notable figures such as Ossie Davis and Heavy D, among others. His early experiences singing in church led him to become a principal music minister, frequently invited to perform solos at revivals and conferences.

His musical journey took him global, culminating in an impressive 11-year music production deal in Hong Kong that earned him respect from the Philippine consulate. In 2019, he further expanded his international reach with a six-month deal in Singapore, releasing the song “If I Could Look Inside Your Mind,” produced by the legendary jazz musician Bob Baldwin.
Joel’s notable works also include the heartfelt song “I Come to You, Jesus, Broken Down,” featuring Grammy Award-winning vocalist Howard Hewett and other prominent figures, such as former NFL player Willie Harper and Clifford, the original bassist for Atlantic Starr.
Among his numerous achievements, Joel has collaborated with talented musicians for the song “Somebody’s Telling You Lies,” which features top artists like Michael Garvin, Tony White, H. Allan, and Gene Torres. His composition “It’s All About the Love” showcases a star-studded lineup, including former Super Bowl champion Willie Harper, hitmaker Michael Garvin, and Dynelle Rhodes of The Weather Girls.
